PROCESS
I have cut the squares for the studs from solid bronze sheet metal, and after filing and sanding, have given them a slightly bevelled edge. I formed the granules using recycled bronze metal (essentially, these a bits of metal that are all over my work bench). I soldered them to the squares and added a bronze post.
Once I finished polishing the studs, I oxidised just the square with an eco oxidising solution. They are a deep brown almost black colour. The granules have a satin brushed finish, and I have sealed the entire front of the studs with metal lacquer to protect the finish.
SHIPPING
I will ship this item through Canada Post; it will come wrapped in non-tarnish tissue paper inside of a sturdy kraft paper recyclable box, tied with a fabric ribbon, and will be suitable for gift giving. This will come in a bubble padded envelope for extra protection. If you would prefer a courier, please let me know in the note to seller so that I can inform you of the additional charge.
