I crocheted this one of a kind (OOAK) rug with yarn I hand-cut from salvaged fabric. I was given t shirt scraps from Krista Lawhon ( http://www.etsy.com/shop/KristaLawhon ) who makes great t shirt blankets. I washed the scraps of t shirts and cut them up into strips that I used to crochet this rug. Using fabric yarn creates a rug that is thick and soft yet very very durable. The t-shirt scraps for this rug ranged in color from cobalt blue to deep navy blue.
The K on the rug was also made from t-shirt scraps. The K is securely attached to the rug with fabric adhesive and then I hand-stitched around the entire perimeter to reinforce it.
This rug is machine washable and dryable. It measures 24 inches (61 cm) in diameter. Perfect for the bathroom, kitchen, office, living room, bedroom, playroom, nursery, dorm room, or any other room that needs a nice rug or mat.
Additionally, dogs and cats love to sit on these rugs! This rug would make a great pet mat to put on the sofa, a table, or your pet's favorite place to hang out.
