The Feldman Co. was famous for their neo-classic or modernist lighting, which decorated MANY high-end 1960s and 1970s homes in the Palm Springs, Las Vegas, Reno, Beverly Hills and L.A. areas. (If you own one of these high-end vintage homes and the lighting was modernized, here's a restoration solution).
These are fine examples of how the company created their unique lighting. The brass pineapple leaf decor at the top speaks well for the 1950s. The shabby 'antiqued' cream and gold color hints of the 1970s or 1980s. The cast metal, pierced Moroccan, Turkish or Persian balls murmur of the 1960s love affair with mid-eastern design.
This sale is for eight pieces: the large chandelier, the single round fixture, and six pierced metal shades that slip over flame-shaped bulbs.
The chandelier is about 26" wide and 21" high. The round fixture is about 18" from the ceiling mount to the bottom. Finally, the shades are about 4-1/4" high and the chandelier chain is over 5-feet long! This was designed for a 1960s or 1970s high-end home with very high or vaulted ceiling.
The finish is ivory 'antiqued' with metallic gold or brass. The cast metal curlicues spiral around the center, accented with cast metal open flowers.
The round fixture is a matching ceiling fixture, but personally I'd set it up to be a wall sconce.
No cracked or missing metal, good pre-owned condition. Needs a good cleaning. The chandelier will be partially disassembled to keep the shipping costs down. If you want it as-is, send me your city and zip for a usps parcel post quote.
Great opportunity to own a rare set of Feldman ceiling fixtures, originally created for the modern mansions of decades gone by.
