A fascinator is a headpiece, a style of millinery. The term had fallen almost into disuse by the 1970s, but has made a comeback in the early 21st century. A delicate, vivacious head decoration worn mostly by women, a fascinator may be worn instead of a hat on occasions where hats were traditionally worn—such as weddings—or as an evening accessory, when it may be called a cocktail hat. It is generally worn with fairly formal attire. Fascinators have become popular internationally where they have been mentioned in the press, due to Queen Elizabeth pronouncing new standards of dress required for entry to Royal Ascot.
This luscious fascinator is made from upcycled vintage genuine mink that is in pristine condition and a vintage goldtone, rhinestone, and faux pearl relic. The mink, which is dark caramel tones with black undertones, and jewel have been hand sewn (no glue was used) to a 14k gold plated headband and is ready to wear to the fancy holiday parties.
The mink is approximately 4 inches by 2 inches, not including the 'fluff'.
