This listing is for one skein with a weight of 4.6 oz., spun at an average of 1200 ypp (yards per pound), is DK weight and wraps at about 12-14. The Wensleydale gives this yarn a lovely haze of hairs, but also makes it a bit stiffer. This is not next-to-the-skin soft, but would be perfect for something that requires strength (a bag or pillow perhaps?) or a shawl with a little halo effect.
See my Store Policy FAQs section for further knitting gauge suggestions for various yard weights, a bit about sheep breeds and yarn softness and care instructions for different fibers.
My skeins are wound on a full 2-yard niddy-noddy. If you don’t have a large swift, let me know. Spun in a smoke-free, pet-friendly home.
