Felted Cuff/Bracelet: Recycled Wool Sweaters

A little old and a lot of recycled. Bayou Blonde got her name from the gorgeous swirls of the rustic, vanilla-colored, vintage button. The cuff, itself, is constructed out of old, discarded wool sweaters that had been deemed unwearable from the laundry mix-up that tighten the fibers and renamed them felt. A couple of those sweaters were sewn together for a patchwork feel, allowing the natural curves and lines of the garment's pattern to dictate the flow of the outer edges. A large, dark mahogany scrap of leather seals the cuff; the vanilla button holds the cuff in place. For comfort, vintage fabric in dusty hues serves as the perfect lining. This will fit up to an 8.5 inch wrist. Width is approximately 3.25 inches. Each component of this cuff was hand-stitched with the exception of the piecing of the wool, which was done by machine.
