A 10-pointed star sits around the letters A-J, with a knob in the center, with a glass window below. The Greek Key motif borders the edges of the door, along with a horizontal bar across the middle.
The combination is easily discovered by looking at the gears in the back while turning the dial clockwise, counter-clockwise, then clockwise again just like any standard combo lock. Eventually, gaps in each of the 3 gears will align, and you're golden!
These doors are extremely charming in their imperfectness. They show nice age and patina, with a fair amount of greening to the brass. As you can see from the photos, each door varies slightly with different levels of patina and wear. Your door will be randomly selected from my inventory.
IMPORTANT: Please note, this listing is for ONE vintage post office box door. It is my LAST brass one and it does not have a number painted on it -- the glass window is blank. But I have many more post office doors available in silver here:
