Using enamels on copper I created my statement necklace as a modern take on art deco jewelry. A trio of unique shapes are connected to form one fabulous enamel necklace. The pendant measures 3” (7.6cm) wide and 4” (10.16cm) long and is supported by an oxidized sterling silver split chain. Including the width of the pendant the chain is 19” (48.3cm) and has an attached 3” (7.6cm) sterling silver extender chain allowing a total length of 22” (56cm). The breastplate drops another 4” (10.16cm). Back is enameled in similar colors and pattern.
Materials and Dimensions of the breastplate enamel necklace:
Breastplate: 3” (7.6cm) wide and 4” (10.16cm) long; enameled copper
Chain: oxidized sterling silver 19” (48.3cm) plus 3” (7.6cm) sterling silver extender chain for additional length; at the end of the extender is a faceted fancy jasper bead.
The breastplate drops approx. 4” from chain.
Colors: grey-violet, rust, peach, mocha and tan.
Designed and handmade by Colorado artisan. Ready to ship.
Arrives in a gift box.
My enamel jewelry is done in the ancient technique of “painting with fire”. Pigmented glass particles are fused to prepared metal, through multiple high temperature firings, creating a colorful, durable, glossy artwork. Please visit my blog for pictures of the process:
