These three brightly colored hardback books have stunning richly detailed illustrations that have a distinct vintage, almost Victorian feel to them. They are a very treasured position of mine because I know the tiny dirty fingerprints are my own, my name is written clearly on the first page in my mother’s handwriting, and my childish scribbles adorn one or two of the pages where I’ve tried to color in a very few of the black and white pictures with color pencils. I chose Little Red Riding Hood as hers is the first tale in my favorite of these books: the one with the best stories and the prettiest pages.
My Little Red is dressed as a young lady rather than a little girl because I’ve always seen her this way for some reason. So she has grown up undies with lace trimmed bloomers and a corset under lots of crisp cotton lawn petticoats to hold her calf length skirts in a perfect bell shape. Her gown is of bright pure white crepe fabric with pieced lace applique around the hem with flowers spreading up to the hem and around the top of the bodice. She has a red satin sash with a bow in back, and her cloak is made of rich red satin with a large hood and scalloped hem.
She weighs approx. 110g, and is 35cm tall.
She will be delivered to you securely wrapped and decorated, protected and with contact details; ready to give as a gift, or just because it’s always nice to receive nice parcels.
All my work is unique and authentic; supplied with signed and dated documents. I keep full records of each doll I produce, what inspired me, and when and how they were created. Every doll is individually handmade, and will not be re-created. So every doll has their own, unique, one-of-a-kind personality.
