vintage camphor glass necklace / 1960s jewelry / HIGHCLERE

A mid-century take on the camphor glass trend of the 1920s and 30s. This piece has a long, decorative, silvertone chain - each link cast with a flower and leaves - punctuated with faux camphor bicones about half way down. The pendant is very ornate with a long, two-tiered, cast filigree mounting and a suspended element below. The faux camphor glass, which is back-carved with a starburst pattern, is held with four corner prongs and center set with a rhinestone. Some cloudiness and discoloration to the faux camphor glass but overall condition and appearance is excellent. Secures with a barrel clasp.
