.Do you like to be noticed? Consider this vintage sterling and turquoise beads necklace, made by a Native American Indian artist and purchased by me about 20 years ago. The sterling "bear fetish" has a very stylized interpretation of the classic protective mammal which watches over many an Indian family. It measures 3" wide, 2 3/8" high and has a slightly domed shape. It is stamped "Sterling" on the back of the bail which is suspended from a necklace of hand-carved rectangular turquoise gemstone beads.
This necklace is 23" long and ¼" wide. It is secured with a clever loop of silver beads and a genuine buffalo nickel (legal usage by American Indians is permitted). Condition is very fine overall with no dents in the bear and no breaks in the beads nor slack in the cord (I wore it very few times). This artwork will speak to those who like distinctive Native American jewelry with bold style.
