This food and nut chopper was most likely produced sometime in the 1940s or 1950s by the Hazel-Atlas Glass Company. The metal lid and wooden handle are painted a gorgeous retro turquoise color. The body is made of glass and there is a wooden chopping block that fits into the bottom. The metal blade is still sharp and is labeled stainless steel. The glass body is marked with both cup and ounce measurements measuring up to 1 1/2 cups or 12 oz. The metal lid screws onto the glass measuring cup. This chopper is in very good vintage condition. A bit of the paint is chipped and it could use a good cleaning but it would be completely usable in your kitchen.
This chopper measures 10 inches high with the lid on and 4.5 inches with the lid off. It measures 2.5 inches across the bottom. It is marked 5393 9 H and with the signature Hazel-Atlas HA.
