It tells the story of Molly, a sweet little girl, who falls ill. Unknowingly she comes to rely on the help of her doting animal friends who seek out a medicine to make her better. The medicine comes from a flower which grows on the side of a nearby cliff. The animals, one by one, try to get it - but it is the bird - quietly in the background of each and every scene, who reaches the flower to help Molly get better.
The illustrations flow hand in hand with the story and are rich, vibrant and full of lovely textures.
The book is a hardcover with 32 pages. There are 23 separate whimsical illustrations including 4 double page spreads and the back and front cover. I have included the sequence of the story in the last image ( please note that the blue colour of the sky is more of a bluish/ purple in the actual book).
