The only issue is that the bottom hem sometimes catches on your shoe and gathers, but you just need to pull it back into place.
Any different color spots you see are from being folded or wrinkled, this dress needs to be hung for a while before you wear it, or you can crumple it up for a while for the crushed velvet look.
