This opulent suit is by the opulence-designing Victor Costa, and it probably is late 80s in vintage. The suit consists of a fitted jacket and short, straight skirt. The striped fabric is all acetate, and features muted black satin contrasting with iridescent red, blue and gold...quite breathtaking! Both pieces are lined. The jacket has rounded shoulders with goodly shoulder pads. There are angled pockets with cuffs. The buttons are black glass with faceted edges and mirror-like hexagonal centers. The skirt has a back covered nylon zipper and hidden hook at the waist.

Condition: Very good at least. There is one tiny nick in the satin that I was able to see, shown in the second photo, above the blue stripe on the pocket flap on the right. Also, under the buttons a number have chips, like the one shown in the last photo. None show on the outside, and I don't think you could cut yourself on these. They probably should be removed for dry cleaning, unless your cleaner is very careful.

Size: Labeled US size 8, but I think it is more like a US size 6
