The Soda Pop Machine is a parable about when things go wrong and it was not anyone’s fault. It never fails to make everyone smile. Later in life, the story might be a hot water tank bursting, or a car repair. It might put a strain on a friendship, or even a marriage. After all, no matter how hard we work together, sometimes we just don’t get Root Beer. In our disappointment we look around for each other. We go back for those we love, and those we know who love us.
What people are saying about The Soda Pop Machine . . .
I have read this story to thousands of children. It has held their attention effortlessly. Recently, I even read it to High School English as a second language class and was surprised when I received applause. Everyone who has ever heard the story loves it.
“We were speechless. Amelia will always have this book, and someday she will read it to her children.”
“It doesn’t matter how often I read it, I never get tired of reading about Billy and Roger. I love the story and I love the expressions on their faces.”
“I know how to share better, and that life doesn’t always give you 'Root Beer'.”
“This will be your child’s most requested book.”
“You should get this published!”
