The last photo shows some of the other stamps that I bought and am listing here. Check to see what is available: http://www.etsy.com/shop/rayela?section_id=5108583
I am neither an expert in the printing processes of that time nor do I know much about what horses wore back then...
I do know that this block and the others I am listing like it can be used on paper or fabric by rolling ink on with a brayer. Although they are functional, I also think they are beautiful pieces as decorative objects and can see them incorporated into collages, used as paper weights, or just as stand alone collectibles. A great gift for anyone who loves horses, country life, Western themes, and the rugged outdoors.
Specifics on this listing:
Two blocks. One, a shoe heel and another a strap, both copper.
Both about 2.75" x 2.25" (6.5 x 6 cm).
The core of my business is dedicated to ethnic textiles, although I love anything old and handmade. Visit my shop for textiles and supplies, as well as things I make.
Shipping is combined on multiple purchases and free in the US if they total over $100. I was doing that for international orders as well, but because the blocks are heavy, I give a discount on larger orders, but have to look at the total and destination first.
