dark swan feathers cocoon and cradle a prized pointed temple. the feathers are darkened as an homage to the visceral and haunting 'black swan' movie. i don't always like to reference popular culture in my work, but that movie really snared me. if you want to read more about my thoughts on this take a peek here:

the temple is to reference greek mythology, a place where the oracle resides to give advice on how best to live one's life. i love this idea, of a sacred place where the supernatural resides in a person and where messages are passed. this was my idea on inverting the black "diamond" stone, the same stone used in my conjoined sparrow claw rings but re-contextualized here in its inversion.
& lastly, the swan song, which is the ancient belief that the muted swan, although glorious in it's beauty, is unable to sing, until on the precipice of death, when it sings the most beautiful song, only once.

this ring stands an incredible inch off of the finger, but isn't bulky, so it is comfortable on the finger. due to the slight weight of the ring, it's important to send your correct ring size so it stands upright.
IMPORTANT:
please send me your *CORRECT* size at time of ordering, i can't start the ring until i have this info. i can make half and quarter sizes as well. it is best to have your finger professionally sized at any local jewelry store that sells engagement rings. if this is for a gift, you can also have a ring sized to find out the proper ring size without the recipient being present (if you can manage to snag a ring without them noticing ! ) ONLINE CHARTS HAVE PROVED TO BE EXTREMELY UNRELIABLE. i do re-size rings for a small fee.
