This beautiful gourd bowl is covered with wood burned dogwood flowers and leaves that are ink dyed. The top scalloped edge band and bottom band are ink dyed Sienna. Some flowers and leaves appear to be in front of the bands and some appear to be behind the bands. The background is dot carved away and dyed with black leather dye. The outside is sealed with clear acrylic spray.
Inside is finished with Sage acrylic paint.
Gourds are not meant for use with liquids, dry only. Keep out of bright light to slow natural fading. Wipe clean with a very slightly damp to dry cloth. Don’t drop it and it should last long enough to pass on to your heirs.
