Modern handmade sterling silver earrings- half wishbones.
These 18-gauge hammered sterling silver half wishbones are the perfect answer when you want something simple yet striking.
- Solid Argentium sterling silver* wire.
- Fronts measure just about 2 1/8" (5.4 cm) long, backs 1 1/4" (3.2 cm), 18 gauge wire.
- Post ends carefully rounded for comfort.
- Handformed by me, with the front side hammered flat for a bolder look. They are then polished and tumbled to strengthen and shine the silver.
- Lightweight and great for daily wear.
18-gauge wire is a touch thicker than the average paperclip and works great for those who've had their ears pierced for awhile and wear earrings regularly.
If you have newly pierced ears or rarely wear earrings and prefer a smaller 19-gauge, please tell me in the "notes to limegreenmodern" box at checkout. The 19-gauge will be a little thinner than the 18 in the flattened bold part of the earring too. I have both ready to go.
Earrings come in a cute modern tin container, ready for gift giving or storing.
I include clear earring backs for security. They are not seen once you push them up behind your ear. I also include a small silver polish pad, to keep your earrings shining bright.

*More on Argentium... just like traditional sterling silver (92.5% silver and 7.5% copper), Argentium simply replaces some of the copper (which causes silver tarnishing) with the element germanium. The result...the beautiful shine of silver without much maintenance. Just rinse with water and mild soap occasionally and use the polish pad I provide you to add a great shine!
