James McNeill Whistler
--------
Large drops of metal cut from antique tin, sanded and painted in hues of sunrise pink with a tinge of spring green. They were then oxidised for depth and sealed for protection, and the spots of rust come through like speckle's on a bird's egg. Slabs of smooth amethyst crystal provide contrast in transparent lilac light, the edges still primitive- an echo of their origin in earth.
3.75 inches in drop from the top of the house made silver plated hooks.
