There are six cranes on transparent strings and the strings are set to dried natural vines carefully chosen with Japanese aesthetic values Wabi-Sabi. As a stopper for each crane to stay on the string, I used a tiny piece of Washi paper.
The mobile measure approx. 35in(88cm) at the widest point bouncing in the air and 39in (96cm) from the top vine bar to the bottom of the crane that is hung at the lowest level.
Each crane measures approx. 8in(20cm) in width between the ends of two wings and 4in(10cm) in height from the bottom of the body to the top of the tail of the crane.
Six cranes are all out of Japanes Washi paper. The motif of this paper is very fine flowers and leaves. Background of the paper is dark purple. Most of he flowers and leaves are purple and purple/blue. Some flowers are earthy yellow and there is also a hint of red buds, Each of these fine leaves and flowers are traced with gold lines on any single border.
Japanese Washi paper is made using the fibers of tree barks and plants ranging from bark, shrubs, bamboo, hemp, and rice. It is quality paper made by hand in Japan. This particular paper makes difference in all.
Thank you very much.
