The "ONE" collection is inspired from such a simple word......
Most of my pieces are named for special people or events or inspirational ideas but names are never forced, if a name does not come the piece is nameless. It has to come naturally and have real meaning.
I talk a lot with my little muses about songs and art as poetry. You need to draw your own meaning from the words or format.
“ONE” meaning the one special bead and colour for my shop, the very perfect and traditional bead.
"ONE" meaning the one that special person who is your one and only.
While I was designing this collection I listened a lot to U2, perhaps my all-time favorite band and their song One kept running through my mind, lyrics being:
“One love, we get to share it, Leaves you baby if you don't care for it.”
At the time I was having an artistic block and in that moment it helped me so much!! Music for me is like air, it is impossible to do anything without it. I really believe everybody has a soundtrack to their life, they may not realize it, but they should try and take a step back and apply music to what is happening and their world will make better sense.
These pendants are made from artisan crafted glass bead Evil Eye. I used the really rich traditional blue colour in an oversized bead in conjunction with a very interesting copper pin with coloured tip, silver chain and very detailed silver tribal findings. The pendants vary and some have colourful crystal bead to compliment the tip of the pin. The "ONE" collection has a set of earrings to compliment the pendant.
