Condition is excellent- no major flaws or damage, with minimal signs of wear. The set is well-matched and the pearls are still very bright, shiny and lustrous with no scratches or dings. A couple of the beads may have some tiny irregularities in sheen due to the organic nature of the materials. There is one pearl on the necklace with a tiny pink dot on it- it's about as big around as a hair, but it won't come off, so I though it should be mentioned. The clasp on the necklace is a little more worn than the one on the bracelet, most likely because it was worn more often, and therefore the gold wash has become thinner and the finish is not as shiny. Not totally obvious, but noticeable if you really look- you should be able to judge by the photos provided. Please contact me if you need any more info or photos.
Produced on the island of Majorca, Spain since 1890, Majorica pearls are made from multiple layers of organic nacre and most closely resemble natural sea pearls than any other man-made pearls. These pearls are very durable and long-lasting because the layering of nacre is very heavy, as in natural pearls. They are hand polished and knotted and are the finest quality manufactured pearls made.
