" LITTLE DARLINGS" is a One Of A Kind, handpainted, wooden ornament that features a big and little owl (mama and baby? Two friends?) holding a heart on a string between them. You may also see some "heart" details in the bark of the tree trunk. How many hearts do you see? This piece is is sure to brighten your day!
Little Darlings is 5 inches tall and 4 inches wide. It is 100% original, and created when I drew this picture, free-form, onto the wood, stained the wood, and painted in several layers to create the figures, using the negative space to create light, and leaving less paint where I wanted shadow.
This unique way of painting is time consuming, often taking more time than straight-forward painting, but I believe it lends to a very unique look to any art I am doing.
