It is a vitalizing blend of holy basil and ginger, fragrant with spicy, floral and sweet notes. The pungency of the ginger blends with spicy-floral nature of the basil for an invigorating cup.
BREWING INSTRUCTIONS: Pour freshly boiled water into a cup with a tea bag. Steep for 3-5 minutes before drinking. A dash of honey can make the cup even more enjoyable and super beneficial!
TO MAKE A QUART OF ICE TEA: Throw at least eight tea bags into a mid-sized vessel. Pour 2 cups of boiling water into it. Cover and add sweetener if desired. Infuse for 25 minutes. Remove the bags and add 2 cups of cold water. Refrigerate. Pour over ice to serve.
INGREDIENTS:
Tulsi, or holy basil as the variety grown in India is called, is rich in antioxidants and is revered in its home country for the benefits it brings to body and mind. It is a sacred herb that strengthens the immune system and helps relieve stress. It is more spicier than the Mediterranean kind and normally not used for cooking.
Ginger has traditionally been used in Ayurveda to improve digestion and remove toxins. It is supposed to revive the body's fire element. Herbalists find that ginger warms the emotions and makes the senses sharper. Ginger's effectiveness as a home-remedy against cough and cold is well known.
ALL OUR INGREDIENTS ARE ORGANIC CERTIFIED.
TEA BAGS: The tea bags that I use come without any dioxins or glue. And to save on earthly resources come with no string attached! Just pluck the bag off with a spoon or a stirrer after you’ve finished steeping. Easy.
For packaging I use heat sealed foil pouches. This preserves the flavor of the tea longer. The pouch also has resealable zip-lock for your convenience.
