I screen printed off white cotton/lycra knit fabric using my original stripes design and blue-gray, black and red inks to make a plaid-like pattern. I gave this piece a great shape with a generous cowling hood, extra long sleeves that bell a bit near the cuff, a tapered waist and flaring out generously from the hips to a straight hem that appears longer on the sides. I made vertical stitches from neck to hem on each side, several corset like stitches around the waist on each side and from neck to cuff on each sleeve for added beauty and structure. I finished the hood and cuffs and like most of my designs the hem is raw - not to worry, I use fabrics that do not fray and love the artistic edgy look of raw edges.
A really cool versatile piece that will look great dressed up and down with tights, leggings, skirts and jeans and boots. Fun for night and day - so unique and flattering you will look forward to wearing it all of the time!
