This amazing lamp has a (not so) shabby chic that is made by sewing hand parted cotton/ polyester fabric, an aluminum support, and base. Combined with special technologies developed in the design lab, this lamp is truly unique.
The solar panel charges a 12 volt DC Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMh) battery pack with 2,500 mAh batteries. The run time on a full charge is approximately 10 hours.
Once the solar panel is placed where it can receive full sun and the batteries are charged, there is nothing to do but turn the light on and off with it~s foot switch when needed.
This lamp will not use the electricity in your home, and will not increase your energy bills. In an emergency such as a power outage, this lamp will still provide light when needed.
Making this lamp 12 volts makes it usable anywhere in the world, and in a pinch can be powered by the vast majority of automobile electrical systems and batteries. This 12 volt LED lamp will last for years to come, and the hand sewn lamp shade is made of quality heavyweight fabric. I am using 12 volt sockets with an extra port to allow charging or operating another device in an emergency as well.
