This handmade cutting board/butcher block is made with Habitat for Humanity "ReStore" recycled Beechwood hardwood flooring. Pulled from the housing projects on 60th Street and Silver Spring Dr. in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Your purchase directly funds Habitat for Humanity in the Greater Milwaukee area. End grain boards are beautiful and easy on your knives. Beech is a very hard wood similar to Maple. It is food safe and is the wood used to age Budweiser beer. Boards can be finished with food safe "salad bowl" semi-gloss varnish, or with natural food safe mineral oil.

Recycled/reclaimed wood has character. One side of your cutting board will be flawless, and the other will have some imperfections, nail holes, knots...

Can be made to custom lengths, just ask.

Boards are made to order. Expect one week for production plus shipping.

There is no such thing as a dishwasher safe wooden cutting board. Boards will last forever with a quick wash, dry, and a good oiling once a month
