A large, beautifully faceted, rich purple, African amethyst is the focal point of this stunning necklace. The 18mm x 14mm x 10mm (almost 3/4" x 1/2" x 3/8") gemstone is gorgeous! The amethyst is wrapped with 14K gold filled wire and two small, faceted, vermeil (gold-plated sterling silver) beads to a chain of 4mm, deep purple, faceted African amethysts that are wrapped with 22K gold vermeil wire. The entire necklace chain is made up of beautiful wire-wrapped amethysts, not just the front portion! The 17 1/4" necklace fastens securely with a vermeil lobster claw clasp.
