It has the words, "Life and Laughter" printed in gold letters on the outside along with the author's name. It is made from 100% repurposed material except for the waxed linen thread I bound it with and the watercolor paper (kinda hard to find that stuff second hand :)
The book is maroon in color. I fear my pictures may not accurately portray the color, so think maroon, not red.
The book is bound a little loosely, which does not affect the strength of it (coptic binding is extremely strong). Because of this I have priced it lower than if it was sewn perfect.
If you're gearing up to study abroad or if you just like sketching at the city park, this is a perfect journal because of how compact it is. This would be a great gift for a guy or gal, old or young.
*Please remember that recycled materials can be imperfect and funky, but there is a lot of beauty in deckled edges and stray strings :)
