A strange little boy who doesn't know he's dead"
Master Ed and his victorian ghost pull toy are hand sculpted from polymer clay and is a one of a kind piece made by me, NIADA artist Gail Lackey. He is one of my "Ghostie" Children, inspired by the writings of Edward Gory and Tim Burton.
Master Ed is free standing and is just over 10" tall. His clothes are made from vintage masonic materials, vintage tulle and vintage gold metallic trims. there are hand painted stripes on his outfit but is doesn't seem to show up in the photos..mmmnn....ghost stripes??
His mary jane shoes are leather with gold metal sequins attached.
He has hand painted eyes and his pale blonde hair is mohair.
His favorite toy is his "rising from the grave, ghost man" which measures about 5 1/2". He has antique materials from the 1800's, and an air dry clay top hat. Behind him is his headstone, all attached to a wood base with wire wheels.
My work has been sold all over the world and is in the collections Richard Simmons, Demi Moore, and Ann Rice to name a few. My dolls have been included in many books, most recently in Larks "Handmade Dolls"
