1940's Chippy Chalkware Bookends - Lil Drummer Boys

1944 PD & Co chalkware bookends. This great pair of drummer boys are sure to keep your favorite books in order. These great chalkware pieces are marked 1944 PD & Co Inc. (see detail photo). These bookends feature the face of a little marching band drummer boy and his drum in smoky red, dusky blue, soft brown and khaki. Each bookend measures 7 ¼” x 5” across base. These are heavy weight pieces. This set would be considered poor vintage condition. They contain chips throughout both pieces. You are able to see where old repairs were made from breaks on both pieces. Please convo me if you need a more detailed description of the chips and repairs on these bookends. Despite the condition of these pieces, they are absolutely packed with shabby chic, chippy charm and would still function perfectly. These great little drummer boys would be great to display as unique Christmas décor or would be adorable holding story books in a child’s bedroom. Due to the weight of these bookends they will need to be shipped flat rate Priority Mail.
