The diamonds are each cut and sanded by hand out of red oak and black walnut. The flower centers are oak. The wood is natural color and not stained. Hot pad is sprayed with a gloss acrylic lacquer to protect and seal the wood. Hot pad can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth.
Hot pad measures approximately 12 inches (30 cm) by 8 1/2 inches (21 cm). The base is 1/2 inch (1 cm) birch plywood cut in a rectangle shape. The diamonds are 5/8 inch (1.2 cm) tall. Total height is just over 1 inch (2.2 cm).
Hot pad has a hanging slot on the back. It can be hung from a nail between uses for easy storage and a decorative addition to any kitchen. There are 4 vinyl bumpers on the back of the hot pad to prevent slipping against the counter top or table.
