I designed this farmhouse-style plaid fabric for a homey pillow cover that would be the same on both sides. Moss green (loden) and natural cottons create lovely half-tone shades when woven using a traditional 2/2 twill structure. The sewing pattern is also mine; sewing with handwoven fabrics can be challenging, & commercial patterns are often not suited to the peculiarities of working with cloth that is not factory-made.
I selected 5/2 mercerized cotton to weave the fabric (see it on the loom in photograph 2?). This handwoven item is easy to care for at home: machine wash on gentle, dry in your preferred manner, and iron as needed. I used a 14" square pillow form to photograph this item.
Pillow cover is fully lined with unbleached muslin; the ribbon ties are also handmade with the same fabric.
Note: the pillow insert is not included with your purchase.

PS: Isn't the chair wonderful? My grandmother caned this piece for our family; she continues to cane at the age of 89 and is currently teaching my father to do the same.
