Huge, magnificent vintage suitcase from the 1920s. Might have been called a trunk back in the day. The outside is a sturdy, masculine chestnut pebbled grain with leather straps and reinforced leather handle and leather and brass riveted corners. Brass latches and fittings. The inside is lined with Art Deco paper in red, blue and cream on one side, black and green on the other. Inside straps for holding clothes in place.

On the back is stamped:

SUPERIOR TO LEATHER
Pat'd April 6, 1926

Size: 27" long x 14" deep x 7" high

Great vintage condition with lots of life and experience. The leather straps are a bit on the dry side and merit a dose of conditioner. Everything works, though the key is long gone. There was part of a 1945 newspaper inside, tucked into the bottom; it comes with the suitcase as the buyer's request. Amazing piece for travel or decor.
