The quilt measures 46 x 56.....a perfect size for snuggling on the couch, tossed over the back of a chair or couch, or folded at the end of a bed. I machine quilted the quilt with Warm and White cotton batting and quilted in a free motion, all-over loopy, swirly design with cotton thread. The backing is one of the prints from the front of the quilt and has pinecones scattered across on a white backing. I made the binding double and stitched it to the front of the quilt, then turned it to the back and hand stitched it down to finish.
I make my quilts to be used and loved and when it is time to wash it, this can be done easily in the machine. Use cold water and a gentle cycle, then toss in the dryer to dry on a low setting. The quilt will pucker with the first washing and become softer with each additional wash.
This quilt will welcome in the holidays as a useful and beautiful addition to any room!
