It's time to decorate for Christmas and this gorgeous Handmade quilt will add a touch of holiday spirit to any room. It is made with fabrics from Moda's collection called Nature's Gift by Deb Strain. Christmasy shades of red, green, white and black are the backgrounds for the pinecones, cardinals, poinsettias, scrolls, dots and a velvety damask. These are beautiful!

The quilt measures 46 x 56.....a perfect size for snuggling on the couch, tossed over the back of a chair or couch, or folded at the end of a bed. I machine quilted the quilt with Warm and White cotton batting and quilted in a free motion, all-over loopy, swirly design with cotton thread. The backing is one of the prints from the front of the quilt and has pinecones scattered across on a white backing. I made the binding double and stitched it to the front of the quilt, then turned it to the back and hand stitched it down to finish.

I make my quilts to be used and loved and when it is time to wash it, this can be done easily in the machine. Use cold water and a gentle cycle, then toss in the dryer to dry on a low setting. The quilt will pucker with the first washing and become softer with each additional wash.

This quilt will welcome in the holidays as a useful and beautiful addition to any room!
