mixed media House Box
From Thecraftmagpie
This box is hand made using fabric paper which was then primed with gesso and painted over. I have then machine and hand embroidered my design onto it. The box is embellished with sequins, beads, card shapes and eyelets. The inside of the box is lined with a red and gold hand made paper. The fastening is made from machine wrapped cords finished with Tibetan silver toggles. This box is 10cm width x19cm in length. The machine embroidery is done in beautiful metallic gold thread, it is a lovely decorative item, it is designed as a piece of art more than a usable box. The colours are vibrant pinks, golds and oranges and it is a one off piece.
