The buttons were then kiln-fired to 2100+F (cone 6), at which temperature the clay and glazes have melted and fused together, making the clay body impervious to water and chip resistant.
As a knitter I am always looking for interesting buttons. I love the size of these and know they would look stunning on a hand-knit hat or bag.
