My inspiration behind this piece was to create a workspace that combined functionality with an element of fun. The boldness of the red certainly makes a statement! I am particularly drawn to the curvilinear approach as I find it allows the item to float freely in its environment, coupled with hairpin legs, this effect is maximised. During the design process I paid particular attention to the ergonomics; I believe I have created a shape that will allow its user to operate comfortably whilst working.

This simple yet vibrant piece has been handmade from birch ply. After the coloring process, it’s finished with multiple layers of polyurethane.
