An Art Deco Ostby & Barton costume ring with red glass set in sterling silver. The ring, which was originally sold as a man's ring, features classic Art Deco design. The shoulders of the ring are cast with geometric and streamlined detailing, including chevrons and a ziggurat. The design leads the eye around to the feature stone which is large and bezel set. The setting just below the stone is engraved with a zig-zag design. The stone has a simple, square-style cut and is set with an open back. The faceted back of the stone is visible from the underside of the ring. There is wear to the glass with visible scuffing, commensurate with the age of the ring. Overall condition and appearance is still very good. A highly collectible piece.
