This harness is a unique item, only from Velvet Mechanism. It's a dark brown, faux leather chest harness bodice accented with all sorts of steampunk elements - silver buckles, authentic antique silver skeleton keys, 2 sizes of gears, and chain. I also have the same design available in a few different colors or fabrics.
It's the perfect way to dress up any outfit and instantly make it look more steampunk! You can wear this bodice with gritty looks: ship's mechanic, aviator, mad inventor, pirate wench, post-apocalyptic scavenger - or with more refined looks: Victorian lady explorer, clockmaker's daughter, or aristocratic naturalist. It works with so many different styles! This would also look lovely with bellydance, playa or tribal outfits where you want to add a steampunk twist.
The keys are authentic antique keys, so they might not match exactly, but they'll be as close a match as I can find. The keys will be clean, dark silver and pretty much the same size (keys range from about 1" to 2"). There's one small (1/4" diameter) gear and one large (1/2" diameter) gear dangling from each key. The gunmetal chain is attached to the key on the right with a lobster clasp, so it's easy to un-hook when you want to take the harness on or off.
The harness is made of faux leather with an elastic back for comfort. The shoulder straps have adjustable silver buckles, so you can set them at the height that's most comfortable for you. The straps can be worn in straight lines, or, if you're fairly petite, you can also cross the straps in back in an X-shape for a slightly different look. It's possible to wear this down around your waist as a cincher, or higher up, just below your bust (as shown in the photos). The harness closes at the front with Velcro below the silver buckles. It's very figure-flattering and very comfortable.
This is available in one size only, however, it's adjustable, so I'd recommend it for anyone size extra-small up to large. It can fit sizes of about 28" to 34" (your waist or under-bust measurements, depending on what height you wear it at - I recommend it for underbust). Completely unstretched and lying flat it measures 12 and 1/2" to 13" across. It measures 8" tall (not including straps) at the highest point, and 3 and 1/2" tall at the front near the buckles.
