Beautifully macabre 19th century victorian mourning capelet. It's pretty amazing for a piece like this to make it through the years without a moth invasion. It does have fading in the creases due to light damage. Hand cut and stitched, it is on the smaller side, so may have been for a child, although those victorian peeps were much more petite than our current gigantic human selves.
19 1/2 at shoulders. 17" long not including bow.
