Slots are made to fit standard matchbox sized cars (hotwheels, etc.) and are approximately 4 inches by 2 inches. Each mat will hold 8 cars.
The mat measures 17 inches by 10 inches when opened up.
I first made this mat as a gift for my sons second birthday. He loves it and plays with it nearly every day. My inspiration for making this mat was finding a useful way for my little guy to carry his cars around instead of having them in every single pocket of every item of clothing he wore! I really love how he is now able to take his cars along and have something to play with them on when I need a way to keep him distracted.
This mat is made from high quality quilting cotton, denim, and heavy weight interfacing. The roads are made from grosgrain ribbon and thread. Mat closes with velcro.
There are no removable parts on this mat, making it safe for babies of all ages to play with.
