This is a rare vintage Eagle pencil box set dating from the 1950s (and possibly earlier). Note the "Eagle Pencil Co. London" inscription on the body of the Verithin pencils.
Leather-bound book-imitation hard case, turquoise with golden border and Eagle logo embossed at the front within four golden concentric circles. "Points of Good Drawing E.P.C." is inscribed on the spine. The case has a golden clasp closure.
Three compartments inside with 6 Eagle Verithin pencils, one ruler, one eraser, 4 Turquoise Chemi-Sealed pencils, one nib holder with nib.

Most of the pencils have been used but are still of more or less their original length apart from the Turquoise F which has been shortened and has apparently been sharpened with a knife. The Eagle Verithin Purple pencil comes from a later Verithin range as can be seen by the difference in the Eagle logo and the "Made in England" as opposed to "Eagle Pencil Co. London" inscription on the body of the pencil.
Interior of the box set is golden cardboard material which has blackened in the ruler and eraser compartment. Otherwise in good condition.
