I've always had a thing for turtles so I love this silver and green turtle pendant. For this chainmaille necklace I picked earthy colors of green, light gold and silver. The turtle pendant is a silver colored metal (pewter, I think) with a green glass stone inside. On either side of the turtle are round green aventurine stone beads and beveled yellow glass beads, with silver-plated chains dangling down.

This necklace is princess-length (or a loose choker) but can be worn tighter or looser depending on if you clip the lobster clasp to one of the inner chainmaille rings or to the extra chain on the end. I have a small neck so I clipped this closer in the chainmaille to get it tighter. If you'd like this made larger or smaller than 16", just ask and I can adjust it for you.

The necklace is about 16" (40.6 cm) long. It closes with a lobster clasp and has an extra 1 1/4" (3.2 cm) silver-colored metal chain so the necklace can be adjusted larger or worn looser. The width of the chainmaille is about 3/4" (1.9 cm), but the triangle shape in the center is longer (the maille part is 1 1/2" [3.8 cm]). The turtle pendant is 2" (5.1 cm) tall and 1 1/2" (3.8 cm) wide.


Note: While modeling this necklace, I didn't realize that the third lower green jump ring had gotten tucked under the maille when I put it on; it does lay flat, as you can see in the other photos, so don't worry!
