The color of the copper glowing through the glass reminds me of that warm hazy early morning light spreading across the water. The back has a leaf cut out.
I make the glass by pulling little molten drops out of the furnace while it's cooking ( going from raw powder to molten glass at 2350 degrees) It's very bubbly and frothy. The glass reminds me of the ocean during a hurricane, full of energy and massive amounts of water moving around.
So I began experimenting with timing and tools and came away with some very nice little balls of bubbles (trapped gasses that are released during the cooking process)I cut them in half with a diamond saw, make sterling/fine silver bezels for them.
Necklace hangs on a sparkly 18" sterling silver chain with handmade clasp.
Since the glass is handmade they all are unique and differ in size. The pendant is approximately 1/2" in diameter
