This elegant handmade Steampunk necklace has a pendant made from a vintage porcelain pocket watch face accented with a beautifully detailed silver butterfly stamping on a Victorian style silver pendant . This necklace is both sophisticated and industrial all at once!
HISTORY OF THIS DESIGN:
Bees, Butterflies, and other insects were popular, along with other natural themes throughout the Victorian Era. Butterflies were particularly popular in 1894, appearing in jeweled pendants, brooches, dress prints and hair jewelry. The original jeweled versions this design is based upon are breathtaking - you can find them in the jewelery archive of the Victoria & Albert museum! This fabulous statement piece is accented with two shades of glittering gold sparkling Czech crystal beads.
