these napkins each measure about 21" square. they are hemmed on all four edges with white thread. they are each hand printed and hand dyed by me. i print my batik work with hot wax and then dye the fabric. the wax stops the dye, and leaves a pattern behind after i remove the wax. all of my wax is removed by boiling, allowing me to reuse the wax and also creating a fabric that is soft and absorbs nicely. my fabrics become nicer with more use and wear.
you can machine wash and dry these with no problems. they will not shrink, fade or bleed onto your other linens. press if you like, but i find that the thicker fabric does not wrinkle badly if taken directly from the dryer.
